The cachaça is produced in the state of Minas Gerais which is reputed to produce special cachaça. This truth deserves reinforcement: the region has particularly favorable conditions for planting and cultivation of sugar cane. The cane is cut in a special way and in correct times without the use of fire, things that only the people born at Minas Gerais, created and born on the farm can do well. The fermentation process is natural, and the yeast-based corn meal, specially prepared. Hence the secret to define the taste of legitimate mining cachaça.
The Cachaça Bento Velho is produced in the town of Conceição do Mato Dentro – Minas Gerais, where it is aged in barrels of Jatobá, and bottled in glass screw cap. The wood Jatobá does not influence much in color or flavor.
This cachaça is produced since 1983 and has lot control and serial numbering.
